Meet Our Team
Dr. Daniel Spindel, DVM | Founder After earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, Dr. Spindel knew he wanted to make Crossville his adopted home. He founded Fairfield Glade Veterinary Hospital to build a local practice that prioritizes independent, community-focused medicine. When he isn’t at the clinic, Dr. Spindel takes full advantage of the local hiking trails and golf courses. At home, he spends his downtime managing his own personal menagerie, which includes four dogs, two cats, and a horse.
Dr. Ashley Lancaster, DVM Dr. Lancaster is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee. Drawn to the natural beauty and tight-knit community of Cumberland County, she chose to settle down in Crossville to build her own homestead. She brings a deep passion for preventive care and client communication to the clinic, ensuring every pet owner feels heard and supported.
Dr. Nika Cantrell, DVM Originally from Monterey, Tennessee, Dr. Cantrell spent the majority of her adult life going to school and working in Crossville, and she is absolutely thrilled to be practicing back home. Her educational journey began at Roane State Community College, followed by earning both her undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Tennessee Technological University, before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Cantrell’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is interacting with owners and their beloved “fur babies.” She firmly believes that client education and, above all, ensuring her patients feel comfortable and safe are the most vital pieces of any treatment plan. Recently, Dr. Cantrell stepped into the role of “Mom” and loves going on new adventures with her husband, her parents, and her son, Tully. Her home is happily shared with two cats, Cheshire and Junipur, and a brown, fuzzy pup named Cubby.
Dr. Stormy Walker, DVM Born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia, Dr. Stormy grew up on a farm caring for cows and horses and competing in horseback riding events from a young age. Her lifelong passion for animals led her to the University of West Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, before graduating from Lincoln Memorial University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2023.
Dr. Stormy is especially passionate about surgery, serving her community through compassionate care, and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She strongly believes that knowledge is powerful, placing an emphasis on taking the time to educate her clients on important veterinary topics so they can feel truly informed and confident in their pets’ care. Married with four dogs—Maloo, Daisy, Max, and Mavis—Dr. Stormy loves spending time outdoors with her family, whether they are camping, paddle boarding, boating, or hosting outdoor movie nights.
