Doctors

Dr. Daniel Spindel, DVM
Dr. Spindel settled in Crossville, his adopted Tennessee home, after earning his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Outside the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his four dogs, two cats, and horse. He also loves reading, golfing, cooking, watching sports, and hiking. With a deep commitment to the community and a love for animals, Dr. Spindel looks forward to positively impacting the lives of pets and their owners at Fairfield Glade Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Nika Cantrell, DVM
Dr. Nika Cantrell is from Monterey, Tennessee but has spent the majority of her adult life going to school and working in Crossville. She is so happy to be practicing at home again! She attended Roane State Community College, and then later received her undergraduate degree and Master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Tennessee. Her favorite part of Veterinary medicine is interacting with owners and their “Fur Babies”. She feels that spending time with owners working on client understanding and, above all, making the patient feel comfortable are the most important parts of the treatment! She recently became a Mom and loves going on new adventures with her son Tully, husband and parents. She shares her life with two cats, Cheshire and Junipur, and a brown, fuzzy pup named Cubby.

Kala has always loved animals, starting at a very young age. She is excited to continue her career in veterinary medicine and serve the community.

Sarah Bufford
Hailing from Crossville, TN, Sarah’s passion for animals stems from a deep-rooted system. Following in the pawprints of her mother (a veteran veterinary technician of 20 years!), Sarah has been immersed in the veterinary world for the past four years.
Her experience traverses the exciting realms of ICU, surgery, dental, and emergency care, making her a well-rounded veterinary assistant. When away from her furry (or feathered) patients, Sarah enjoys quality time with her menagerie: a trio of rescued dogs, a delightful duo of rescued cats, and her loving husband. They can often be found exploring the great outdoors on four-wheeling adventures.

She is happily married to her husband, Josh, and mother to three boys: Liam, Kade and Ezra. Kelsey loves all animals, even the scaly ones! She has four reptiles including her python, Salem. She also has a cat named Charlie and a Corgi named Dansby! Although she is new to the world of Veterinary Medicine she adores her new career as a Technician and is looking forward to a bright future here at Fairfield Glade Veterinary Hospital.

Taylor Nicole
In her own words, “I’ve always said saving animals is in my blood as my mom worked at the local SPCA when she found out she was pregnant with me. I grew up between upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania. Most of my adult life I’ve worked at either a shelter/rescue or a veterinary office. I met my wonderful fiancé 3 and 1/2 years ago and about a year ago we decided we needed a change of scenery and I immediately suggested Tennessee. In May 2024 we bought property and in June we made Crossville home! In our spare time we enjoy golfing, hiking, playing video games, and loving on our 4 beautiful rescue pups! I am so happy to be apart of Fairfield Glade Veterinary Hospital! I looked forward to meeting all our clients and helping as many fur babies as we can!”
We are just as delighted to have Taylor as part of our amazing staff!
